2024 Spring Semester EnglishScore Test Information  

1. Test Introduction: (Please find attached the Test Guides 1~5 below.)

【Note 1】

1. According to different test types, there are up to 3 and 9 practice chances within 28 days. There is no need to enter the connect code for the practice tests.
2. Please do not practice within 24 hours before the official test to avoid being unable to take the test on the day of the test.

【Note 2】Please refer to Part III information, find a suitable time and enter the specific connect code (see as the attachment 1) when taking the official pre- and final- tests according to your identities at home (teachers can also have students do in class). You have only one chance each to take official pre- and final- tests for Core Skills, Speaking and Writing.

2. Test Process and Notice

1. Preparing your environment and equipment

Note: Make sure you are alone and free from interference when taking the test. Otherwise, if there are any violations, the results will not be approved and the certificate will not be obtained.

1. A fully charged cellphone with a camera and earphones (Do not use a tablet lest it should cause problems during the test.)
2. Operating system version must be Android 6.0 or above, iOS 15 or above.
3. Update the EnglishScore App to the latest version.
4. Make sure all the background applications are turned off.
5. Quiet and well-connected internet environment (at least 8Mbps, test here: https://www.speedtest.net )
6. Restart the phone before the test if necessary.
7. Test alone without a mask.

2. Signing up

1. Use CGU school webmail as an account (student ID@cgu.edu.tw / e.g. b1204156@cgu.edu.tw)
2. Set up your own password (8 characters: 1 uppercase, 1 lowercase, 1 special character and 1+ digit)

3. Taking the test

**You have only one chance each to take official pre- and final- tests for Core Skills, Speaking and Writing.

1.  When doing an official test, enter the connect code (see as the attachment 1), Chinese name and student ID no.
2. This app will use face detection technology and take photos of you during the test.
3. The test will be paused by 15 seconds and be cancelled by 2 minutes if you don't keep answering questions or leave the camera.
4. You need to answer enough questions correctly in the Grammer and Vocabulary parts to enter the Reading and Listening parts of the Core Skills test.
5. You must reach CEFR A2 of the Core Skills test to take further Speaking and Writing tests.

 

4. Issuing the Electronic Certificates

       1. Criteria:

           (1) Core Skills: Grades of official pre- or final-test reach preferentially CEFR B2 or above

           (2) Speaking and Writing: Grades of official pre- or final-test reach CEFR B1 or above and are in the top 25%

      2. Process: The system will notify those who meet the criteria getting into the EnglishScore App to fill in the English name same with the passport and take a photo, and receive the certificate also by email within 24 hours.

3. 考試資訊Test Information

※鼓勵金質獎學生進入EnglishScore App做Core Skills，考試班級代碼為TW-CGU-SHARE，使用期限至4/21 11:59PM止。

※轉學、轉系、免修大一基礎英文(A)、(B)或重修的學生，請隨修課班級考試。
以上所提及的學生，若未曾做Core Skills，以長庚大學學生email(學號@cgu.edu.tw)創建帳號後可免輸入班級代碼進行Core Skills考試，以利進一步做Speaking或Writing考試。

Students who transferred from other schools, departments, waive Basic English (A),(B) or retake the courses, please take the tests alone with your classmates. If you have not taken Core Skills test before, sign up and start the Core Skill test without the connect codes, then you can go further doing Speaking or Writing Test.

112學年度下學期EnglishScore考試公告

一、考試介紹 (測驗說明詳見附件一~五)

【註1】

1. 依不同考試項目28天內有最高3次及9次的練習機會，練習考不需輸入班級代碼(Connect Code)。
2. 正式考前24小時內請勿練習，以免造成考試當天無法施測。

【註2】正式考分為前、後測，請參照上面第III部分表格，根據不同身分別，找適宜時間、輸入特定班級代碼Connect Code (如附件一)、在家進行自己應施測的正式考項目(授課老師亦可於課堂上統一測驗)，各考試項目(Core Skills, Speaking, Writing)的前測及後測各僅有1機會。

二、考試流程及注意事項

    (一)測前準備：

    註：建議同學，施測時確保一人環境、不受干擾，否則若後續系統判讀有違規，該成績無法認列，亦無法獲得證書。

1. 設備：手機(需充飽電，附相機、耳機)。請不要使用平板做測驗，以免無法順利完成考試。
2. 作業系統-Android 6.0 或以上，iOS 15 或以上
3. 確認EnglishScore App已更新至最新版本
4. 確定所有背景程式已關閉，以避免考試中斷
5. 安靜且網路穩定的環境 (至少 8Mbps，請點此測試：https://www.speedtest.net)
6. 如故障無法排除請重新開機
7. 需脫口罩、僅一人入鏡

(二) 創建帳號及登入：

       使用長庚大學學生email帳號並自設密碼以創建帳號。

       (學號@cgu.edu.tw，範例：b1204156@cgu.edu.tw /密碼8字元，需含1大寫、1小寫字母、1特殊符號及數字共8碼)

     (三)施測中：

    ＊注意：各考試項目(Core Skills, Speaking, Writing)的前及後測各限一次正式考機會

1. 正式考請輸入各測驗項目班級代碼(如附件一)、中文姓名、學號。
2. 鏡頭請自動開啟臉部偵測，以確定為同一人施測。
3. 久未回答或離開鏡頭，15秒後測驗暫停，超過2分鐘就會退出測驗。
4. Core Skills聽讀測驗中，「文法與字彙」須達標，才可繼續完成「閱讀」及「聽力」部分。
5. Core Skills成績須達CEFR A2，方可進一步做Speaking和Writing測驗。

    (四)核發電子證書：

1. 標準：

   (1)Core Skills前或後測正式考達CEFR B2以上且擇優發放。

   (2)Speaking和Writing前或後測正式考達CEFR B1以上且成績位於前25%的學生。

2. 流程：待全體同學完成後測，系統將以email通知成績達標者至EnglishScore App填護照上英文姓名及拍照，24小時內會在email收到證書。

    (五)其他：如有疑問，請於信件內容註明系級、學號及問題寄至以下聯絡人
